    New Zealander Christy Prior won the Ladies' Slopestyle Snowboard World Cup event in Stoneham, Canada.

    Script:

    New Zealander Christy Prior pulled out a strong second run to win the the Ladies' Slopestyle World Cup event in Stoneham, Canada.

    Prior's score of 89.75 was enough for her to become the second snowboarder from New Zealand to ever win a World Cup event.

    The Netherlands' Cheryl Maas was second with 85.25 points, and Austrian Anna Gasser completed the podium after she finished with 84.25 points.

    Maas took over the lead in the Slopestyle World Cup standings on 1,800.

    The Czech Republic's Sarka Pancochova, was fourth in Stoneham and she is second in the overall standings on 1,500.

    Prior is third on 1,379.

    "The pressure was definitely a little bit more on. I like to land the first runs, it makes life a lot easier. But yeah, this spot up here was definitely new territory for me, so yeah I like it, I could get used to that. I don't know if it will happen but I like it."
