It's only the second ladies' slalom of the 2014 Alpine Skiing World Cup but already the Schild sisters are proving a force to be recokened with.

Austria's Bernadette Schild led the way after the first of two runs down the French alps in 51.71 seconds.

Schild's older sister Marlies was third fastest behind Frida Hansdotter at the halfway stage.

Marlies, is no stranger to winning - she won slalom Gold at the 2011 Alpine World Ski Championships and she took the spotlight on this occasion too as she sealed her first World Cup win.

Her sister Bernadette crossed the line in third place - 1.22 seconds behind Marlies - and the siblings shared a warm embrace before standing side-by-side on the podium.

Marlies Schild moves up into third place in the slalom standings, with Bernadette Schild up into ninth.
