    Denmark ended Sweden's unbeaten start to the European Curling Championships in Karlstad on Tuesday.

    The prize for the European Curling champions.And the Danes who are determined to get their hands on it in Karlstad.

    Denmark put on a fine performance to end Sweden's unbeaten record with a 9-5 victory.The Czech Republic and their opponents Switzerland were both in joint third place ahead of their meeting on the ice.

    Czech skip Jiri Snitil had some forceful advice for his team-mates...and it worked as the Czech's enhanced their chances of reaching the medal games with an 8-3 win.

    Norway have the best uniform of these championships and they have a very good chance of retaining their European title too. The Norwegians defeated Germany 6-4 defeat.

    The Germans didn't mind, they just enjoyed Norway's trousers.With sickness affecting their camp, Scotland are out of the medal hunt but they gave their World Championships qualification chances a real boost with a 9-7 win over France.
