    Script:

American skier Lindsey Vonn followed up her downhill win at the Skiing World Cup on Friday (30th November) with victory in the same event on Saturday.

Vonn crossed the finish line with a time of 1:52.90 about half a second ahead of her nearest competitor.

The 28-year-old competes on men's skis which are longer, stiffer and harder to control but had her hopes of racing against the men dashed by the International Ski Federation recently.

Vonn remarkably has racked up nine wins and three second placed finishes in the last 12 downhill's over eight seasons at Lake Louise.

Fellow American Stacey Cook came second behind Vonn for the second day in a row with Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden of Switzerland in third.

The tournament continues on Sunday (2nd December) with the women's Super G event.
