Dynamo Moscow sweep up at Kontinental Hockey League Awards

    The heroes of the fourth Kontinental Hockey League season were honoured at a ceremony in Moscow on Wednesday.

    Script:

    Russia's Kontinental Hockey League Awards were awarded in Moscow on Wednesday to some pretty funky music.

    More funky music and a rather large Continental Cup which was lifted by Traktor Chelyabinsk.

    The Alexei Cherepanov prize for the best rookie of the season was won by Amur forward Dmitry Lugin.

    The manager of the year award was presented to Dynamo Moscow president, Mikhail Tyurkin.

    Coach of the year award went to Dynamo Moscow coach, Oleg Znarok 

    Whilst Avangard forward Alexander Perezhogin swept up the 'Iron man' award - given to the player who has played the most championship games over the last three seasons.

    And finally, the Goaltender of the season award was presented to Dynamo Moscow's Alexander Yeryomenko.

    But amidst the celebrations, remembrance of the players and staff of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl who were killed in the plane crash of September 7, 2011.
