  • Graziano Pelle scored twice as Shandong Luneng took a big step away from the Chinese Super League's relegation zone, thanks to a 4-1 victory at Tianjin Teda on Saturday (20th August).

Tianjin took on Shandong at Tianjin Olympic Sports Centre Stadium in Chinese Super League on Saturday (20th August).

Shandong took the lead in the fifth minute after a shocking error from defender Zainadine Junior.

Former Newcastle forward Papiss Cisse was on the spot to put the visitors in front.

Shandong then doubled their lead six minutes later thanks to a wonderful strike from the midfielder Dai Lin.

Graziano Pelle made it 3-0 not long after the break as he hit a stunning volley into the top corner.

The Italian international grabbed his second and Shandong's fourth goal of the night with seven minutes remaining with a much simpler finish - taking his tally to three goals in six appearances in China.

Malick Eyouna did pull one back for Tianjin just before the final whistle - but it ended 4-1.

After three consecutive wins, Shandong are now six points clear of the relegation zone.
