  • Kawasaki Frontale defeated Urawa Reds 2-1 to reclaim the Japanese J-League lead

    First met second in the J-League on Saturday (20th August) as leaders Urawa Reds hosted Kawasaki Frontale.

    It was the away side that took the lead with a fine goal from Captain Shingo Nakamura.

    The lead didn't last long though as the Reds got themselves level on 28 minutes, thanks to a simple tap in from Tadanari Lee.

    However, Kawasaki regained their advantage when substitute Kentaro Moriya stayed onside to score.

    Urawa had one last chance in the 88th minute, but it wasn't to be their day.

    Kawasaki overtake the Reds to top the table on goal difference.
