Conceding first crucial - Howe

  • Reaction after Jose Mourinho's first English Premier League game in charge of Manchester United on Sunday (14th August) ended in a 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eddie Howe, Bournemouth manager:

"Yeah, I thought there were a lot of good things from our perspective, some not so good. I think the game was on a knife edge until the first goal, and unfortunately for us the way the goal's come about I think's a hard one to take because it looked like we'd got away with the mistake and then from an unlucky ricochet we concede and I think from that moment it's tough when you give a team like Manchester United the lead."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eddie Howe, Bournemouth manager:

"Yeah, we were well in the game. I thought we'd started well. We hadn't cut them apart and created too many chances, but I felt it was, as I say, it was 50-50, it was on a knife edge and I think it was a tough one to take because it was out of nothing and it wasn't like they've, broken our shape or scored an outstanding goal. It was a very scrappy goal."
