  • World No. 1 Lydia Ko (-7) leads U.S. Open after Round 3 on Saturday (9 July) at the CordeValle.

The penultimate round of the US Women's Open played out on Saturday (10th July), with World Number one Lydia Ko among the title contenders.

The New Zealander continued where she left off in round two with this lovely birdie at the 13th.

This set Ko up nicely as she chased down overnight leader Sung Hyun Park.

She got off to a solid start with birdies on the sixth and eighth holes to move to 9 under.

2009 winner Eun Hee Ji equalled Park, however, neither were able to stop Ko from climbing to the top of the pile.

The 19-year-old shot a two-under par 70 to place herself in front heading into the final round's play on Sunday (10th July).
