US OPEN: Park leads after second round

  • South Korean Sung Hyun Park shoots a 6-under par 72 on Friday (8 June) to sit atop the early leaderboard after the second round of the U.S. Women's Open in San Martin, California.

    Round two of the U.S. Women's Open played out on Friday (8th July).

    First round leader Mirim Lee had a more tricky time than on Thursday, bogeying the 4th here as she lost her place at the top of the leaderboard.
    Lee drops to joint second place alongside Amy Yang.

    So what of world number one Lydia Ko? Well, things went better for her as she improved to shoot a round of 66 - finishing with a birdie at the 18th.

    Meanwhile, world number two Brooke Henderson made par on the 14th, however, she is currently at 3 over for the tournament.

    Shooting to the top of the leaderboard after round two is Sung Hyun Park who gained four birdies in a six-hole span on her way to a 6-under 72.
