  • Top seed Roger Federer beat Malek Jaziri to advance to the Gerry Weber Open quarter-finals on Thursday (16th June).

    Rodger Federer looked comfortable in the opening set of his match with Malek Jaziri at the Gerry Weber Open on Thursday (16th June).

    The top seed wrapped it up 6-3 in just 29 minutes.

    Jaziri hit back in the second and took a 4-1 lead.

    However, Federer sparked back to life at the right time and the quality showed as he came back to win the second 7-5 and take the match.

    The Swiss start will face fifth seed David Goffin in the last eight in Germany.
