  • Andy Murray announced on Sunday (12th June) he is to link up again with his former coach Ivan Lendl.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Andy Murray, world number two:

    (about reuniting with Ivan Lendl)

"Hopefully it be for a long time, from my side. He's coming over. He'll be here for the tournament (Queen's Club Championships). And yeah, it was just good for him to spend a bit of time with the rest of my team as well. To see how things work out. But providing everything's good, it'll be.... hopefully go on for a long time."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Andy Murray, world number two:

(asked how Lendl can help his game)

"I think the most successful period of my career was whilst I was working with Ivan. I know what he can offer. The experiences he had. I think psychologically you know, he helped me in the major competitions. They're obviously the events I'm trying to win and competing for. And I hope he can bring that same experience and same benefits as he did the last time."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Andy Murray, world number two:

(about what he's done since the final of the French Open)

"I took five days off. I didn't do anything from Monday to Friday. I came in and practised here (Queen's Club) on Saturday. But yeah.... I mean obviously you're excited for the start of the grass court season and you kind of want to get out there and get used to the conditions, but also have to realise how long the clay court season was for me and I've never done that well on clay before. So I needed to let my body rest and recover a little bit before I started practising on the grass again."
