Stacy Lewis carded a three-under-par round of 69 to hold a one-shot lead over Lydia Ko and Karine Icher after the second round of the LPGA Swinging Skirts tournament in Daly City, California on Friday (April 25th).

At Lake Merced Golf Club just outside of San Francisco, second round action got underway in the LPGA Swinging Skirts tournament on Friday.

Sunshine soon become pouring rain, but that didn't stop Lydia Ko playing a marvellous approach shot at the seventh hole, which she would birdie.

Ko carded a one-under-par 71 on Friday, after her opening round of 68, and finished the day on five-under, tied for second place with Karine Icher.

After the rain stopped, Mo Martin had a nice approach shot of her own on the ninth hole.

She would sink the birdie to reach three-under-par, although by the end of the day she sat at one-under par having carded a 74 on the day.

Hyo Joo Kim made her move up the leaderboard on Friday - a birdie on the 11th hole took her to two-under par.

The shot of the day belonged to Catriona Matthew, who holed out her approach at the 13th hole for an eagle.

Matthew moved to two-under after the second round, four shots behind the leader Stacy Lewis, who carded a second successive three-under 69 on Friday to move to six-under.
