Day nine of the Sony Open Tennis in Miami saw Tomas Berdych win over Alexandr Dolgopolov in straight sets to set up a meeting with either Rafael Nadal or Milos Raonic in the last four.

Tomas Berdych came into his quarter-final contest with Alexandr Dolgopolov at the Sony Open as the favourite.

The Czech was made to work hard by his Ukrainian opponent in the first set though, however Berdych did pull through to take it 6-4.

The seventh seed came into this contest without having dropped a set in Miami so far.

That record still stands after Berdych sealed his victory, with some help form the net in a second set tie-break.

Berdych will meet either Rafael Nadal or Milos Raonic in the last four.
