Richard Gasquet, David Ferrer and Kei Nishikori all advanced to the next round of the Sony Open in Miami on Sunday (23 March) following third round victories.

David Ferrer came through in straight sets against Andreas Seppi in the third round of the Sony Open.

The Spaniard and number four seed, beat his Italian counterpart 6-3, 6-2 to reach the next round.

Despite being ranked five places below his opponent, Kei Nishikori defeated Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. The Japanese youngster won 7-6, 7-5 in a closely fought match and will now face David Ferrer in the next round.

It was a similar story for Frenchman Richard Gasquet as he beat Kevin Anderson to progress. South African, Anderson also lost in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Gasguet will now play 5th seed, Rodger Federer.
