There were wins for fifth seed Roger Federer, defending champion Andy Murray, French duo Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Germany's Tommy Robredo in the third round of the 2014 Miami Masters (Sony Open) at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne, Florida, USA on Sunday (23rd March).

11th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga faced the unpredictable Macros Baghdatis in the third round of the Miami Masters in Florida on Sunday.

The Unseeded Cypriot took the first set 6-4 and was two points from victory at 5-1 in a second set tiebreak, before Tsonga came back.

The Frenchman took that tiebreak, and then went on to take the decider.

Tsonga was to face the winner of the next match up between coach-less Andy Murray and Judy Murray's favourite, Feliciano Lopez.

Murray took the first set 6-4 and looked in control. Despite parting company with Ivan Lendl, he was in the Murray box, looking like he wanted back in with the Scot in this kind of form.

Murray's unbeaten record against Lopez was never in doubt as the Spaniard was broken five times by the Wimbledon Champion, moving into round four with a 6-4, 6-1 win in 73 minutes.

Number five seed and two-time former champion Roger Federer lost just seven points on his own serve and needed just 63 minutes to complete a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Dutch qualifier Thiemo de Bakker.

Federer is looking for his 22nd ATP series 1000 title and continues here against 9th seed Richard Gasquet.

The Frenchman has won just two of the 13 matches played between the pair.
