Nadal too strong for Hewitt

  • Intro:

There were wins for Rafa Nadal, John Isner, Milos Raonic and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez on Saturday in the second round of the Sony Open.

    Script:

World number one Rafael Nadal was in ominous looking form in round two of the Miami Masters as he took just 69 minutes to beat Lleyton Hewitt.

The Spaniard eased past the veteran Australian in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.

Another Spanish player through to round three is Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. He upset number 23 seed Gael Monfils 6-2, 7-5. He had a slight nervous wait for the win to be confirmed as the Frenchman challenged his match point but it was clearly out and he advanced.
He will face Milos Raonic next after the Canadian beat America's Jack Stock in straight sets.
That one was pretty simple but there was a thrilling all-American match between John Isner and Donald Young. Number 10 seed Isner came from a set down to progress, he won 6-7, 6-3, 6-4.
