    The first round of the Miami Masters continued at Crandon Park on Thursday.

    Donald Young of the USA was dominant in his match, needing only an hour and 10 minutes to get past Argentine Carlos Berlocq.

    The home favourite took a straight sets 6-2, 6-2 win to set up a meeting with fellow American John Isner.

    There was a blot for the home fans in the evening's play with Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut triumphing over Steve Johnson.

    America's Johnson took the first 6-4 but dropped the next two to lose 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

    Sam Querrey got the USA back to winning ways in the last match of the day.

    After a tight first set Querrey beat Ukraine's Sergiy Stakhovsky in Straight sets 7-6 (2), 6-3.

    Querrey won in 74 minutes with two breaks in the second, setting up a second round match with Spaniard Nicolas Almagro.
