  • Intro:

A South African court on Monday (17th March) heard the testimony from the official police photographer, who took photographs of the scene where the girlfriend of Oscar Pistorius died, on day 11 of the murder trial in Pretoria, South Africa.

    Script:

The Oscar Pistorius trial heard the testimony of an official police photographer on day eleven of the murder trial in Pretoria.

Barend Van Staden took photographs of the bathroom where Reeva Steenkamp was shot by Oscar Pistorius on Valentines Day 2013.

The photographer explained how he created several albums of the scene of the crime from the moment he entered it, to how he methodically started moving objects around the scene in order to carry out his investigation.

The prosecutor is trying to show that while evidence had been moved around, that this was not part of any tampering by the police but rather a part of the investigation.

Mr Pistorius denies murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last year, saying he mistook her for an intruder.
