It was all smiles before the Indian Wells final between Agnieszka Radwanska and Flavia Pennetta.

There were wide grins on those lucky enough to have a ticket too as the pair produced some excellent rallies from the start.

Pennetta hadn't won a title since 2010 and she was determined to get her hands on some silverware.

The Italian may have started to think about the most important title of her career as she took the first set 6-2.

Radwanska was strapped up and struggling with a knee injury.

The number two seed's mobility was severely hampered and Pennetta was merciless.

More strapping was applied and it was time for the engraver to get to work.

Pennetta claimed the tenth title of her career, a magnificent feat considering she pondered retirement two years ago after dropping to 166th in the WTA rankings.

But now, Pennetta is the 12th best player in the world.
