Flavia Pennetta (ITA) stunned BNP Paribas Open's top seed Li Na (CHN) by winning 7-6, 6-3 in Friday's semi-final. The 32-year-old has Agnieszka Radwanska standing in her way of the title after the Pole defeated Simona Halep (ROM) 6-3, 6-4 in yesterday's other Indian Wells semi-final in California, United States.

    Script:

Australian Open champion Li Na made a shock exit from the BNP Paribas Open in Friday's semi-final against Flavia Pennetta at Indian Wells, in America, on Friday.

19 places separate Li Na and Pennetta in the world rankings but the first set was so close it went to a tie-break, which the Italian won after the Chinese double-faulted.

Pennetta is a horse racing fan and she's clearly accustomed to heights; this majestic lob earned her a 4-3 lead in the second set.

The 32-year-old's backhand winner sent her into the final, 7-6, 6-3, where she'll take on Agnieszka Radwanska.

Radwanska sealed her spot in Sunday's showpiece with a straight sets victory over Simona Halep.

Halep jogged to the baseline and she was doing all the running as Radwanska race to a 3-0 lead.

The Romanian hardly had to move at all when the Pole's ace won her the first set 6-3.

This volley from the world number three gave her the chance to serve out the match... which she duly did 6-3, 6-4.
