The World Indoor athletics championships ended on a high in Sopot with a world record breaking 4x400 metre relay from The United States. It was a fitting way to round off a dominant championships for the USA who ended up with twice as many medals as anyone else.

The fastest women's 60 metres for four years was run by Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who was quite rightly impressed by her own work.

It was a good day for Ethiopia, as Genzebe Dibaba eased to victory in the women's 3000 metres. Then Mohammed Aman swept past two polish runners on the final bend of the men's 800 metres to claim their second gold of the day.

The home fans cheers were not enough either in the women's 800m final as Chanelle Price took gold, of course we end on a USA gold medal.
