SOUNDBITE (English) Novak Djokovic(on the importance of the Indian Wells toutnament and its place in the 'American Swing'):

"Yeah, you know, I've been working hard on the court and off the court for the last three or four weeks. Didn't play many matches this year, but hopefully I'm going to get an opportunity to prove that I've been working hard and that hard work pays off."

SOUNDBITE (English) Novak Djokovic(on finishing the season well last year, defeats this year and motivation):

"Absolutely. I've had a fantastic last three months of 2013 and 26, 27 matches in a row won and I've lost that thrilling five-setter against Wawrinka, who captured his first Grand Slam title and had the tournament of his life, so both matches that I've lost this year have been decided on very few points, so this can happen at this level and I've recognised the things that I need to work on are on the court and mentally, you know, in order to get myself in the best possible shape."
