Pat Cash faced Ivan Lendl in an exhibition match at Earls Court in London on Monday as part of the celebrations for World Tennis Day.

Cash and Lendl met eight times on the professional tour, with Lendl winning five of those meetings.

It was also a repeat of the 1987 Wimbledon final which Cash won.

History was repeated as Cash won again nearly 27 years later.

With the players level at 6-6, Cash broke Lendl's serve and then went on to hold to take the one-set match 8-6.

In the evening's second encounter, former No. 1 and 8-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi took on iconic rival and 7-time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras.

The two Americans played each other 34 times during their professional careers, with Sampras winning 20.

In 2011, Sampras defeated Agassi in the World Tennis Day event at a sold-out Madison Square Gardens in New York City.

Agassi was also the winner on this occasion as he took the match in straight sets - 6-3, 7-6 (6-1).
