Roger Federer beat Lukas Rosol and Tomas Berdych saw off Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to reach the semi-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Championships.

Roger Federer will face Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the Dubai Duty Free Championships after the Swiss beat Lukas Rosol in straight sets.

Federer made a slow start but then won six consecutive games to take the first set 6-2.

Rosel changed into a lime green shirt for the next set but it would be exactly the same result, 6-2 to the number four seed.

So Federer through but it is the end of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's challenge, he was knocked out in straight sets by Tomas Berdych.

The first set was delicately poised until Tsonga dropped his serve to love in the tenth game.

In the second set Berdych saved five break points before the French number one double faulted to give him a 5-3 lead.

The Czech held his serve to win the match and set up a semi-final with Philipp Kohlschreiber on Friday.
