  • Intro:

France's Alize Cornet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Polish pair Agnieszka Radwanska and Grzegorz Panfil 6-0, 6-2 in the mixed doubles to win the Hopman Cup final 2-1 overall in Perth, Australia on Saturday.

    Script:

Agnieszka Radwanska was feeling her shoulder injury but the pain didn't get any easier when Alize Cornet won France the opening set of the deciding Hopman Cup mixed-doubles final.

Saturday's tie didn't get much better for Radwanska and her Polish team-mate Grzegorz Panfil in the second set.

It was desperate times for the women's world number five when she tried this trick shot but Jo-Wilfried Tsonga read it.

Tsonga's volley secured the six love, 6-2 win for France and a 2-1 victory overall, much to Cornet's delight.

The 23-year-old lost her single's match earlier today to draw Poland level in the tie before this match. Her relief was palpable.

More than 10,000 fans were in attendance at the Perth Arena to witness France's first ever Hopman Cup victory.
