Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska and Grzegorz Panfil defeated Australia's Sam Stosur and Bernard Tomic 2-1 overall, after victory in the deciding mixed doubles match on Thursday. Poland therefore win the Hopman Cup group A and will play the country that tops group B in the final on Saturday .

Poland and Australia went into this deciding Hopman Cup Group A mixed doubles match tied at one a piece overall.

Qualification for the hosts Australia was mathematically impossible but they spoiled their opponents' party by winning the first set.

In the second set, Poland showed just why they're the tournament's favourites when Radwanska hit this return winner before winning 7-5.

Panfil then broke Tomic's serve to win the third set tie-break and propel Poland into Saturday's showpiece.
