Usain Bolt has faced a number of fine competitors on the track, but on Saturday he squared up to an unorthodox challenger - a bus in Argentina.

He was smiling from a standing start. Very early into the race, it was apparent the bus had no chance and began jogging only to pick up his pace before crossing the finish line as the yellow bus sped up, and Bolt broke no sweat.

After the race, Bolt shook hands with the driver before competing in another race on the same road and won that just as easily.

The 9 de Julio Avenue is billed as the widest in the world with at least seven lanes in each direction.

The sprinter is currently in Argentina holding coaching clinics for children in Los Piletones, a shanty town south of Buenos Aires.
