Yelena Isinbayeva also discusses winning pole-vault gold at the World Championships in Moscow earlier this year (2013).

"Ladies and gentlemen. Good evening. For me this is always an honour to be recognised by the IAAF and my fans and all the athletes. Male athlete of the year. Every year I come out here and I put in hard work because that is the focus and that is my determination. I want to be the best in my sport. So I focus on just doing great things. Staying focussed is always a hard thing to do. As an athlete you have to be really focussed. You have to make great goals for yourself and work towards them."
