Novak Djokovic beat Richard Gasquet 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3 in his final round-robin match on Saturday to extend his current winning streak to 20 matches.

Novak Djokovic was looking to make it three wins from three matches when he faced Richard Gasquet in his final group match of the ATP World Tour finals on Saturday.

Already eliminated from the tournament, Gasquet was playing for pride only against an opponent he had not taken a set off for six seasons.

That record continued as Djokovic started strongly and took the first set 7-6 after a tie-break.

The Frenchman didn't give up though and earned a third set decider after taking the second set 6-4.

Djokovic showed plenty of patience as the deciding set got underway, and showed renewed vigour when chances came his way.

Gasquet, by contrast, seemed to have run out of steam.

The second seed fired down a clinical ace to take the match 7-6 (7-5) 4-6 6-3 and extend his impressive recent winning run to 20 straight matches.
