SOUNDBITE: (English) Mike Matheny, St. Louis Cardinals manager:
"Yeah, we talk about that a lot and take a lot of pride in being able to learn from the rough ones. You're going to have them. We're not going to sit and sulk in them. We're going to improve from them and come back out with a vengeance to prove something different. And I think the guys have been very consistent with taking those games and putting them behind them and having an edge of, I want to prove the kind of player I am, the kind of team we are. And I think they showed that once again today."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Matt Holliday, St. Louis Cardinals leftfielder:
"Honestly, I think that the team will look at it very narrow minded, that we got to come out and try to win a game tomorrow. And we can't get ahead of ourselves and this team that we're playing against is way to good to think that for some reason that it's not going to be a very tough task to get one more win. So I think as a group, while you're excited about the victory, we've quickly got to turn the page for a day game tomorrow against an extremely tough pitcher (Zack Greinke) and try to win that one."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lance Lynn, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher:
"I felt like I was throwing the ball pretty well and to get three runs right there, it gives you a little bit of a breathing room to where you don't have to try and make a perfect pitch everytime, maybe. So I was able to relax a little bit. But they got after me in the fourth (inning) but after that it was, I was able to make some pitches."
