SOUNDBITE (English) John Farrell, Boston Red Sox Manager
"When we lined into the double play, it felt like that was kind of took the air out of our sails a little bit. The one thing this team has done throughout the course of this is continue to build opportunities. And even though we may come up short at times, it felt like we would still create some. This was a very unique game. We faced nine different pitchers, and early onthrough the first five innings, we had to remain patient with not making wholesale changes with our lineup, not knowing who they might go to next. We finally break through in that 7th inning for two runs. And I can't understate how important Pedey's (Dustin Pedroia) sacrifice fly in the ninth was to give us a breather with Koji (Uehara) on the mound. It was more testing our patience early on and not making wholesale changes to the lineup."

SOUNDBITE (English) Shane Victorino, Boston Red Sox Rightfielder
"It was, I knew it was going to be a tough at bat with (Joel) Peralta in the game. I haven't had much success against him. but whatever it took, obviously that first pitch I saw Jacoby (Ellsbury) take off. We were able to get a run on the passed ball. Jacoby (Ellsbury) was able to get to third. And as I said, I was just telling myself, just hey put this ball in play whatever way you can, just try to mae something happen. I came out on the good end with a broken bat infield hit and I was able to beat it out. So waver it takes."
