Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico and the Ukraine have reached the semi-finals in the World Series of Boxing after completing quarter-final wins over Poland, Argentina, Great Britain and Azerbaijan, respectively.

    Script:

Four countries remain in the third World Series of Boxing (WSB) following the completion of the quarter-final second legs.

Kazakhstan had lost 3-2 against Argentina in Buenos Aires but bounced back with a 5-0 success.

Bantamweight Bagdad Alimbekov, middleweight Konstantin Snigur and light heavyweight Ehsan Rouzbahani each outpunched their opponents in Almaty.

Kazakhstan will face Mexico after they advanced at the expense of Great Britain, 5-0.

Elias Emigdio dominated 2010 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Sean McGoldrick to give Mexico their first point.

Heavyweight Gerardo Miguel Bisbal put the seal on the victory.

Azerbaijan's tie against the Ukraine was decided by the lightweight encounter between World Champion Albert Selimov and double World and Olympic Champion Vasyl Lomachenko.

Trailing 5-0 from the first leg, Azerbaijan recorded four wins to pile pressure on their guests in Baku.

But Lomachenko saw off Selimov ensuring the Ukraine would progress.

They will do battle with Italy for a spot in the final after the defending champions cruised past Poland.

    Both legs ended 4-1.

Bantamweight Riccardo d'Andrea set the Italians on their way with unanimous decision over Dawid Pawel Michelus.

Newcomer Valter Fiorucci suffered Italy's only loss in the middleweight contest.
