Khan on his win over Molina

  • Intro:

Post fight reaction from England's Amir Khan after he stopped Carlos Molina after 10 rounds in their super lightweight bout on Saturday in Los Angeles.

    Script:

"You could see the way I was fighting, more patient and at times Carlos Molina did catch me. I never lost my game plan. I stuck to the job. I never got frustrated or anything. And he did catch me with some good shots but I just kind of composed myself. And what a great champion he is, I mean Carlos (Molina) is a tough, tough fighter. I remember hitting Carlos (Molina) in I think it was in the early rounds of the fight and I caught him with some good clean shots. And he still came forward and that's when I thought, I better stick to me game plan here because this kid's tough."

"Virgil's a great trainer. I just want to thank him for all the success there because I'm getting better as a fighter and he's teaching me how to be patient. He's teaching me how to understand boxing, where as before I use to go wild and I use to go in there at a hundred miles an hour with combinations. But now that's gone, I'm picking the right shots at the right time. The speed's there. If I use my speed the main way, I mean there's no one touching me in the world. I just get, I kind of get to ballsy for my own good I think and I start getting wild."
