Hector 'Macho' Camacho's mother revealed on Friday that she has agreed to take her son off life support with the boxer having been pronounced brain dead following his shooting in a drive-by attack.

"I've already made my decision. Tomorrow, I'll do what has to be done for my son. God took my son, God took my son. And I am at peace with that because we have to do (pointing to the sky) what he (God) up there says. And my son left us three days ago. He's alive only because of a machine. My son isn't alive. My son is only alive for the people who love him."

SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Hector Camacho Jr., eldest son of Hector "Macho" Camacho:
"My decision, my side of it is that my father is still going (meaning he's still alive). If he's going to die, he's going to die on that bed. He's a boxer. He's a fighter. He's going to fight until the end. He's a champion who is proud. I am no one to pull the plug. God's law says do not kill your mother or father. That's what I am following. I am firm in that. Macho is going to fight until the last bell."
