"Great stuff, great command, he ... second inning, you know, had one guy 0-2 and walked him, double there by (Chris) Carpenter but really settled down and he gave us what we needed. We've been looking for a quality start, a great start and really helped out the bullpen and just a gutty effort. He's been throwing the ball well, carried that into today's game and really had all his pitches going and was locating well and logged some pitches early but, you know, he got on track and got us deep in the game - he was done after seven but that's quite an effort by him and an effort we needed."
