SOUNDBITE (English), Mike Tyson, former boxing champion, on his retirement from boxing:
"Me being that guy, I could never live like that and have the relationship with my wife, and my children. That guy takes up so much of my life...like 'I'm Mike', whoever the hell that guy is. He just takes up too much and not in a good perspective either."
SOUNDBITE (English), Mike Tyson, former boxing champion, on the current state of boxing:
"The state of boxing is not bad, just the heavyweight division is not really exciting as it should be, but um... we as people, as individuals, we want excitement, we don't look at the art of things, like the Klitschkos are very good guys. They beat these guys. They are good fighters, but we want to see them knock guys out and be brutal and.. (arrgh). They are not the particular.. these guys are professors for Christ's sake. They're not the particular pugnacious fighters, you know. So, we have a funny feeling towards that, I guess."
SOUNDBITE (English): Mike Tyson, former boxing champion, on his acting career:
"We do have some plans to play characters and stuff. I played myself pretty good, I'm a pretty interesting character. You know, Mike Tyson is a character and playing myself is playing a character. I get paid like I'm playing someone else too. So it's always good to play Mike Tyson. I get paid as much money being me, so being me is pretty profitable."
SOUNDBITE (English), Mike Tyson, former boxing champion, on what he wants to do next:
"I don't want to spread no more of that violence in the air. I just want to hang out and entertain now. I want to dance and sing. I want to be like Billy Madison (Elliott), remember that show? Anybody see that? Billy Madison (Elliott) is a boxer, and he turns into a ballet singer... ballet dancer."
