Number one seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and seventh seed Sam Querrey advanced to the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open on Thursday.

Top seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga met Spain's Marcel Granollers in the quarter-finals of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex in North Carolina on Thursday.

Tsonga eased through the first set 6-1.

The Frenchman's advanced to the semi-finals comfortably as he won the second set 6-2 to seal his a semi-final match against the USA's John Isner.

Another Home favourite Sam Querrey is also through to the last four after defeating Alexandr Dolgopolov in three sets.

Querrey took the first 7-5.

The Ukrainian battled back and levelled their match at a set apiece after he won the second set 6-4.

The deciding set went to a tie-break and Querrey got two break points to move 5-1 up and eventually won it 7-3.

Querrey will play the Czech Republic's Thomas Berdych in the semi-finals.
