Japanese and Turkish Olympic teams arrive in London for the Olympic Games.

The Turkish Olympic team were given a warm welcome when they arrived at Heathrow Airport on Tuesday.

Turkey won eight medals in the 2008 Games in Beijing, a total they will be looking to improve on in London.

The Japanese team also arrived with high hopes having won a total of 25 medals in Beijing, including nine gold.

Tennis player Go Soeda reached the semi-finals of the Atlanta Open on Saturday but insisted he was fit for the Games.

Japan are sending a smaller delegation than normal to an Olympics but the athletes can still count on some passionate support in London.
