The top seed was in action last on quarter-final day at the Gstaad Open in Switzerland.

And for Janko Tipsarevic, it was an easy passage through to the last-four.

The Serbian charged to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jan Hernych of the Czech Republic.

The contest lasting just one hour and two minutes.

Tipsarevic took his opportunities well, and served the so-called 'perfect' game of four aces midway through the second set.

He clinched the match as his 212th-ranked opponent hit a double fault.

Tipsarevic won his first ATP World Tour clay court title in Stuttgart last week.

The world number eight will now play Paul-Henri Mathieu in the semi-finals after the Frenchman beat Ernests Gulbis in three sets.
