Serena Williams overcame a shaky start and two service breaks to beat lucky loser Coco Vandeweghe 7-5, 6-3 on Sunday to retain her Bank of the West Classic title in California, USA.Script:
Serena Williams won the all-American WTA final in Stanford as she beat Coco Vandeweghe.
The underdog Vandeweghe at one point was serving for the set at 5-4 but her inexperience showed as Williams saved set point.
Before taking the set 7-5.
Vandeweghe's double fault gave Williams a 3-1 lead in the second set.
It was then just a matter of serving out the match.
