The last eight men in the draw battled it out on Friday (13th July) in the quarter-finals of the Croatia Open.

Home favourite Marin Cilic came into his match against American Wayne Odesnik on the back of nine victories from his previous ten matches.

And the Croat wasted little time in dispatching the world number 130 sealing a 6-4, 6-0 victory.

Argentina's Carlos Berlocq faced defending champion Alexandr Dolgopolov for a chance to play Cilic in the semi-finals.

A pair of aces helped the Ukrainian seal a straight sets win, 6-4, 6-4 and set up a meeting with Cilic.

Saturday's second semi-final will feature top seed Fernando Verdasco against fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers, seeded four.
