  • Intro:

David Nalbandian will meet Marin Cilic in Sunday's Aegon Championships final

    Script:

Number six seed Narin Cilic defeated American Sam Querrey 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the first semi-final of the day at Queens Club.

Playing in windy conditions, the American failed to win any of the nine break points in the 20-minute third game, and was broken at love to leave Cilic serving for the opening set at 5-3.

After an early exchange of breaks in the second set, Querrey broke his Croatian opponent to lead 5-3 with a backhand volley and served out the set.

Cilic broke to lead 2-0 in the final set after Querrey stumbled to give his opponent break point and then double-faulted.

Querrey recovered the break at 4-2 but gave up his serve again in the next game, leaving Cilic to serve his way into the final
In the other semi-final David Nalbandian of Argentina defeated Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.

After two early breaks of serve each, Nalbandian broke Dimitrov a third time to lead 4-3 when the Bulgarian netted a forehand.

In the second set, another forehand error gave Nalbandian a break to lead 2-1, and although Dimitrov leveled at 3-3, a forehand volley earned Nalbandian a decisive break to lead 5-4, and he duly served out the match to reach his first final in two years.
