Croatian Ivan Dodig caused a major upset at the AEGON Championships.

He edged out second seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 in a third-round encounter, after the Frenchman injured a finger.

    Script:

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga may have to miss Wimbledon after injuring a finger during his 7-6 (3), 3-6, 7-6 (5) third-round loss to Croatia's Ivan Dodig at Queen's Club.

The Grand Slam begins in just 11 days.

Last year, the charismatic Frenchman was beaten by Andy Murray in the final of Queen's and went on to upset Roger Federer in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

But he hurt the little finger on his right hand when he slipped over during the sixth game of the final set.

"I am not a player consistent like the best player in the world. Sometimes you know, I have some match where I don't play well because I am tired or you know, I don't feel really good. And that's it - just human."

That slip though, helped Dodig to one of the best days of his tennis life.

"I would say I was always like saying I was telling myself you know, "Keep fighting, fighting. And once when you get the chance, if you use it, you will be there." And yeah, I am now really enjoying to play every match."

Nicolas Mahut failed to follow up his win on Wednesday over Andy Murray when he was ousted 7-6 (3), 6-4 by Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov.

The Frenchman held a point at 5-4 to claim the opening set, but Dimitrov earned his first break of the match to level at 5-5.

Dimitrov went on to dominate the tiebreaker, and a single break to lead 3-2 in the second set was enough to put him into his first quarter-final of the season.
