Lewis leads by six heading into ShopRite Classic final round

    Stacy Lewis tied a tournament 36-hole record with a second-round 65 at the ShopRite LPGA Classic on Saturday in New Jersey to hold onto the lead entering Sunday's final round.

    The second round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic took place just a few miles from Atlantic City on Saturday.

    Stacy Lewis and Japan's Mika Miyazato were tied atop the leaderboard at 6-under heading into the second round.

    Lewis shot a tournament 36-hole record with a second-round 65. Her two-day total of 130 put her at 12-under and six strokes ahead of Sweden's Anna Nordqvist.

    Paula Creamer is another shot back at 5-under after she closed with a birdie putt at the 9th.

    South Korea's So Yoen Ryu holed her third shot from the fairway to close with an eagle at the 9th to join Creamer, Spain's Azahara Munoz and Australia's Katherine Hull, seven strokes off the pace.

    Hee-Won Han's tee shot led to a birdie at 15 to move to 3-under. The South Korean shot a 4-under 67 to grab a share of seventh place.

    Top-ranked Yani Tseng of Taiwan made her third consecutive birdie at the 2nd to reach 4-under where she would finish.

    Mika Miyazato birdied the 9th to help salvage a round of 2-over 73 to fall into a tie for seventh with Han, Tseng and Mariajo Uribe

    Fellow Japanese player, Ai Miyazato is another stroke back at 3-under.

    Second ranked Na Yeon Choi was able to break par with a birdie at 10. The South Korean is tied with Ai Miyazato and a host of players, nine shots back.
