Frenchman Victor Dubuisson leads the Ballantine's Championship after an opening round of 68, four-under-par, at the Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, South Korea on Thursday.

Paul Casey is one of a group of five players two shots further back, after prevailing in the blistery conditions to card a round of 70.

"I am pleased with that. Yes. I played a very solid round of golf today. There wasn't a whole lot going on, not a massive amount of birdies but I eliminated mistakes and it's still a golf course I'm learning. Yesterday was the first time I got to see it and it wasn't necessarily the best preparation. So, we were still feeling out way round this golf course and very happy with the way we felt our way around it."

"My putting was really really good today. My long game was ok but the putting was really really good and I holed some important putts like on the, we started from the 10th hole, and on the 10th I holed a four-metre putt for bogey and on the next hole the same for par so hopefully (thankfully) the putting was great today because you know it could have gone the other side. I could have made not four-under (par) but plus-four, plus-five. If I didn't make those first two putts I would have been three-over after two (holes) and it could have been completely different."
