  • Intro:

After playing 14 holes to finish his third round on Sunday morning, Lee Westwood took an eight-shot lead into the afternoon for the final round of the Indonesian Masters.

    Script:

The Englishman had uneven front nine, but seemed to be getting things right at the strat of the back nine when he drained this long birdie putt at the 10th.

Westwood's putting was his Achilles heel at the recent US Masters and again it let him down here - and he had to settle for a bogey on 13.

More trouble followed with the former World Numbe rone bogeying again after getting stuck in a bunker on the 14th.

That opened the door for the rest of the field, including India's Gaganjeet Bhullar, who picks up his birdie on 17 before signing for with a 69 that left him on 12-under-par.

With compatriot Shiv Kapur also making a late run at Westwood, setting up the only eagle of the day on 18 with this approach before joining Bhullar on 12-under, things were getting tense at the top of the leaderboard.

Also some pressure on the leader was Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant, who finished birdie, birdie to end the day 14-under

But it would be too little, too late to catch Westwood who made light of any nerves and found the green at the last before recording for a two-over-par round of 74

Not his best but enough to retain the title by two shots.

Westwood, also said he hoped the win would kick-start this year's attempt at winning an elusive Major championship.
