The final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup got underway at the stunning Golf de l'Ocean golf club in Agadir, Morocco on Sunday.
Jade Schaeffer of France held the lead into the final round at eight-under par but at just a stroke ahead of Norwegian Marianne Skarpnord and Australian Karen Lunn the final round promised to present a thrilling climax for the ladies on tour.
Schaeffer's challenge faded over the final 18 holes - as did that of Marianne Skarpnord.
The Norweigen collected four birdies but dropped shots at the fifth and 15th dented her challenge and - following a fourth round 69 - saw her finish just off the pace in joint second at nine-under for the tournament.
Skarpnord finished the tournament alongside Tandi Cunningham who underlined her consistency at the tournament with her second consecutive round of 67, with a bogey at the fourth the only blemish in her otherwise flawless round.
However the day - and the tournament - belonged to Karen Lunn.
Lunn endured a rollercoaster front nine, carding three birdies and three bogeys to make the turn in 35.
But she turned on the style with a flawless back nine of 31, firing a hat-trick of birdies from the 10th and picking up further shots on the 15th and 16th to card a final round 66 and take the win, by three-strokes, at 12-under.The win is Lunn's tenth career win on the Ladies European tour.
