Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has been named the winner of the second Award Barca Jugadors - a prize awarded by fan and former player group Agrupacio Barca Jugadors (ABJ) for fair play.

The ABJ highlighted the gesture Iniesta paid to former Espanyol defender and friend Dani Jarque - who died of a heart attack in 2009 - while celebrating his winning goal against the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup final.

(Asked how he would like to be remembered at the end of his career)

"I would like to have my sporting career in this club and be remembered as a player that gave everything for his club. Somebody that always has respect for his colleagues and his opponents. At the end the titles are there, the goals are there, but at the end the people is what is important."

(Asked about life in the Spanish Primera Liga):

"In La Liga there are many matches and at the end the winner is the one who copes with things better. Real Madrid has an important advantage, but we have to think about winning matches and wait for them to fail. We can't do anything else. It will be important to maintain a high level which can help us in the Champions League. We have the Copa del Rey (King's Cup) final at the end of the season, so we have beautiful things to do and the importance of the sport is being 100 per cent and doing things well."
