Manchester City defeated Borussia Dortmund 6-5 on penalties in their International Champions Cup tie on Thursday (28th July).

The match finished 1-1 in regulation time.

Manchester City belatedly kicked off their tour of Asia, while Borussia Dortmund were playing a Manchester side for the second time in a week.

Dortmund dominated United 4-1, yet here City looked the better side.

Kelechi Iheanacho should have given City a half-time lead.

The 20-year-old saved three spot-kicks - the crucial one from Mikel Merino to win it for Pep Guardiola's men although Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel did not seem too disappointed by the outcome.
